Wild Crafted Burdock Root Dried Cut ~ 100% Premium
Botanical Name: Arctium Lappa
Burdock has a long history of use in Europe, where the plant is also known as Beggar’s Buttons and Sticky Willow. The root is a little sweet but mildly pungent.
Burdock root is harvested as a vegetable in Japan and was once used to provide bitter flavor to European beers. The dried, chopped root can be used in tea blends or toss into simmering soups or braised foods. An infusion of the root, applied as a poultice to the soles of the feet, is a Medieval remedy for “hysterical disorders.” The root is also traditionally decocted for use as a skin wash or is macerated in oil to use as a base in shampoos and hair conditioners.
